Last week of early voting
Heading into the final week of early voting, there are constant reminders of what is at stake in this election.
The Supreme Court draft leak has spawned important conversations. People of all ages, backgrounds, and genders are telling us they want to be represented by a strong advocate for reproductive freedom. Three pro-choice organizations have endorsed our campaign including EMILY’s List #VOTEPROCHOICE and Georgia WIN List Last weekend I met Renee who told me she had been advocating for Choice since 1962. In her high school, 6 girls died from unsafe abortions and she was very upset with the direction of the SCOTUS. I promised her we would fight with everything we have.
We’ve been to lots of events lately, including Sandy Springs Candidate Forum, Fulton Dems first in-person meeting, Taste of East Cobb, and Chastain Arts Festival. We love the community conversations, and when you just reach out and say hi! Friday, I was honored to sit with the Georgia Association of Educators at the Georgia Democratic Party State Dinner. While the speakers on stage were incredible, the stories from the educators and their advocacy for our children are true inspirations.
My heartfelt condolences go out to the victims of the racially motivated mass shooting in Buffalo. A teenager armed with weapons of war took the lives of 10 people in a supermarket. They were simply going about their day. Shame on every legislator who has made a grocery store, a war zone. If more guns made us safer, we’d be the safest country in the world. It’s time to #disarmhate.
As we kick off the week, remember that during early voting you can vote at any of the locations in your county but on election day you must vote at your designated precinct. If you have questions, email us firstname.lastname@example.org To volunteer, sign up here: https://forms.gle/cvWQ7FEfdX1QTdTk6
